Online Class Update...

June Guest Designer

Hello SO fans!

Can you believe it is June? I can't! Time flies and we are welcoming June with some inspiration from the amazing Trudi Harrison who was one of our designers here at Scrapping Outback!!!

I am sure a lot of you know Trudi and her unique dimensional style but I thought it would be great to get to know a little better by asking her a few questions:

1. What is your main source of inspiration?

I find inspiration everywhere. Quite often it will also come from the product and materials that I am working with. Perhaps, though, my biggest inspiration comes from my two girls and the little things that they say and do. They are often featured in my projects.

2. What is your favourite chipboard technique/techniques?

I really like adding texture to chipboard. One of my favourite ways of doing this is stippling gesso paint thickly over the top of the chipboard piece. When the piece is dry, I then add a little diamond dust to some of the areas, adhering with clear drying glue. Once this has set, glimmer mist or colour spray is then applied over the top of the diamond dust.

3. What is your proudest achievement in scrapbooking?

I have had the wonderful opportunity of being able to create for some amazing manufacturers and stores. To be able to share my passion for paper crafting and being part of team of talented, inspirational people has been both an honour and humbling experience.

4. Do you have a favourite tool? And why?

I do like to get a little ‘scissor happy’ so my scissors are always within arm’s reach when I am creating. I am also quite partial to creating decorative edges and embellishments with punches and confess to having a few of these as well.

5. Are you a night or day scrapper?

I mainly create at night after my girls have gone to bed.

A big thank you to Trudi for answering those questions! We have a few projects from Trudi to share and inspire you!
